North Korea launched several short-range missiles from the East coast towards the sea on Monday. A missile warning from the Japanese coast guards was received by ships in the area.

The rockets were supposed to reach a height of 50 kilometres and fall into the sea about 200 kilometres from the point of launch - Seoul said.

This is not the first Pyongyang missile test to occur in recent days. On March 2, North Korea fired off two short-range missiles towards the East coast, after a three-month break. Missile firing, described by the regime as "routine military exercises," was personally observed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Last Thursday, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Estonia and Belgium identified these tests as "provocative" and as "a violation of a UN resolution" in the UN Security Council.
The North Korean KCNA official press agency has stressed that the North "has the right to conduct military exercises."

Talks about North Korea's nuclear potential between Pyongyang and Washington remain in deadlock after the second summit meeting of US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un fiasco.
Kim announced that North Korea will expanded its nuclear weapons potential this year in response to "gangster" sanctions and increasing pressure from the US.
