A tropical cyclone is forming in the Bay of Bengal. As meteorologists say, it is constantly growing in strength. For now, it is not entirely clear where it will go ashore, but according to forecasts it can seriously threaten India and Bangladesh.
In India and Bangladesh it can get very dangerous next week. The reason for the violent weather may be a tropical cyclone, which is currently forming in the Bay of Bengal.
Once the cyclone is formed, it will become the first of its kind in this year's Indian Ocean season. It will then be named Amphan.

It is growing in strength
Weather models have forecast the development of the element in the Bay of Bengal for several days.
"This system is constantly strengthening and becoming more orderly," said meteorologist Jennifer Gray. "It can become a huge storm before it comes ashore next week," she added.
It is now too early to clearly define the potential effects and where the cyclone will appear. Researchers predict that the gale may be felt even in the northern and North Eastern regions of the country.
The sea surface temperature in this region is high enough for Amphan to become the equivalent of a major hurricane. All forecasted models show that the cyclone is becoming quite strong.

Dangerous time
On Thursday night, the first typhoon hit the Philippines this year. Meanwhile, the first tropical storm seems to be developing near the Bahamas.
In the Northern part of the Indian Ocean, the seasons in which dangerous phenomena can appear are clearly marked. They last from April to June and from October to November. These are the seasons falling immediately before and after the monsoon season.
